Price list


Volker Stelzmann was born in Dresden in 1940, but the family moved to Leipzig in 1948. After a state-assigned apprenticeship from 1960 until 1963 he was employed as a precision mechanic. From 1963 until 1968 he studied at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig under Prof. Gerhard-Kurt Müller. After his studies he worked as a freelance-artist and had a teaching assignment at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, where he also got a professorship in 1982. In 1986 he moved to West-Berlin, became visiting professor at the Städelschule in Frankfurt/Main and began a regular cooperation with Galerie Poll and other galleries. After that he was appointed to a professorship at the Universität der Künste (UdK) Berlin that ended in 2006.
Volker Stelzmann lives and works in Berlin.
